Privacy Policy

CareBrief is designed as a local-first GLP-1 tracking and visit-report tool. This policy explains what information may be stored in the app, what may be shared with us, and how you stay in control of your records.

Last updated: July 30, 2026

1. What CareBrief does

CareBrief helps you record dose history, symptoms, appetite changes, weight entries, progress notes, photos, and questions for your clinician. The app organizes information you enter into appointment-ready summaries and reports.

CareBrief does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, dosing recommendations, or emergency support.

2. Information you record in the app

The app may let you record health and wellness information, including medication name and dose, shot dates, side effects, notes, weight, meals, photos, reminders, and questions for a visit.

CareBrief is built to keep these records on your device by default. We do not automatically receive your health records unless you choose to contact support, export, share, or otherwise send information outside the app.

3. Information we may receive

  • Support information, such as your email address and the message or attachments you send us.
  • Basic website or hosting information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and request logs needed to operate and secure the site.
  • Font and app-store requests handled by third-party services when you load this website or click an external download link.

4. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve CareBrief features.
  • To help you create, review, export, or share visit reports.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To protect the service, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell your health records. We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not automatically send your visit reports to clinicians, insurers, employers, or advertisers.

Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate CareBrief, such as website hosting and email support. Exporting creates a file you control; CareBrief receives it only if you choose to send it to support. You may also choose to share your report with a clinician or another person.

6. HIPAA and consumer health information

CareBrief is a consumer health app. Unless we separately enter into a written business associate agreement with a HIPAA-covered entity, CareBrief is not acting as your doctor, health plan, or health care clearinghouse.

Health information in consumer apps may fall outside HIPAA in some situations, but other privacy and consumer-protection laws can still apply. We still treat health-related records as sensitive information.

7. Your choices and controls

  • You can choose what to record, edit, export, or delete in the app.
  • You can choose whether to send a report to a clinician or another recipient.
  • You can request help with support records by contacting [email protected].
  • If applicable law gives you access, deletion, correction, portability, or opt-out rights, contact us and we will respond as required.

8. Retention

Records stored locally remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to your device backup settings. Support messages and operational records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, and business purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. You should protect your device, passcode, biometric lock, email account, and exported PDFs.

10. Children

CareBrief is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected].

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product changes. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
